  1. I dont really have any horrible bad hair day stories...thank god lol. Occasionally I deal with a little frizz but thats about it. I think most of the 80s would have been bad hair days for me lol. They didnt seem like it then but looking back...

  2. Yo tampoco he tenido un bad hair day since i started my natural hair journey, lo que he tenido es un bad hair YEAR... :) i stopped relaxing my hair a couple of years back but i kept flat ironing it. 3 months ago i decided to stop using any kind of heat on my hair, i mostly wear it up in a bun but sometimes i dont mind wearing it out and show all my heat damage. my coworkers make coments about my hair EVERY SINGLE DAY; you know, the classics... " you look like a Lion", "I bet you dont need a pillow at night", "Hey Michael Jackson, show me the moon walk","i think ima start calling you Shakira Black (my hair is jet black), "you better stop playing with the plug surge" and so on... :P
This past June we went on vacation to my lovely Dominican Republic, and i decided to travel wearing my hair out, nadie nunca me habia visto con el pelo rizo y suelto en mi querido pais, asi que sabia que los comentarios no iban a faltar pero no me importo...
as soon as we arrived at my hometown town (Villa Vasquez) un motoconcho me pasa por el lado y me voceo "peinate" i looked at my husband and we both started laughing, my mom who also was traveling with us said to me "solo en dominicana"... ese fue mi recibimiento, pero no paso mas de ahi, a mi familia le encanto que me haya dejado el pelo natural y mis primas hasta me pedian tips de como tratar el pelo rizo aunque ellas no puedan usarlo rizo por que en sus trabajos tienen q usar el pelo straight (mandatory, company policy) what a shame!
i know that recovering from heat damage is not going to happen overnight, i just need to be patient knowing that it can only get better :)
i love my hair, no matter what people say and i guess that's what matters...:)

  4. My bad hair story is kinda boring but it seems to happen regularly because of my hair texture. I called myself trying to do a wash and go but my hair had yet to try or any of the product in my hair to dry three hours later and I had plans to go somewhere. So I had to towel off a little of it and then it made my hair look really weird. So then I had to style my afro differently, which didn't work and just made me even more frustrated. So I decided to just smooth the edges back and wear a headband and try to ignore the stray knots and kinks and run my errands for the day.

  5. My bad hair day was when I went to Hispanicize. I had never been to Florida and many people have told me that the heat is NOT the same as in NY--there is a breeze. I blowed out my hair thinking this was the way to go. Once I came off the airplane I felt my curls wanting to pop out, they were screaming, "LET US CURL!!!"---it was HOT & HUMID!!! Now, when I go to Puerto Rico I know what to expect--but because many told me it was breezy I said, "why not?"..LOL...big mistake. By that afternoon my hair was up in a bun!!! I was so upset because I had not traveled with curly hair products, so imagine!!!
I can laugh about it now but I was PISSED--LOL ;)
    Still had a great time!

  6. I just had a bad hair the other day when I was at Buena Park! It couldn't have happened at a worse time I had to go to two exhibits, and snap a few pictures after. There was no volume to my hair and it looked greasy.

  7. Yo si he tenido un bad hair day.

Solo me pasaron blower y plancha.

  11. Ay mujer-There's a reason for Babushka's hat!! Silver lifelites (aka gray hairs) are untameable and when let loose make me look like I should be stirring a cauldron. No exageration- de veras, when one of my grandbabies was little he saw the loose hair and started crying bruja, bruja!! Luckily for the both of us era por detras que me vio otherwise it would have traumatized the both of us. ; ) BB2U

  14. No soy muy buena arreglando mi pelo. No tengo mucha paciencia.

  17. I don't like having bad hair days, so when I do have a bad hair day I blame it on not using the right products on my hair. Love your giveaway, amiga!! :-)

  21. My daughter & I use the moose. I love that it doesnt make my hair hard or stiff but gives my curls shape. Normally I flat iron but this is a nice change. The heat and humidity is horrible for my hair!

  24. Oh, man. New York summer humidity is rough on hair. But the day of my high school senior photos my hair slowly rose and frizzed in the humidity. The photographer didn't tell me and I was horrified (and surprised!) when I saw the photos.
