My Hair, My Passion. What is your's? / Mis Rizos, Mi Pasion. Cual es la tuya?

This is a sponsor post in collaboration with LatinaMomBloggers and Nissan to drive your passion, all opinions and thoughts are my own.
Find something that makes you passionate about and kept tremendously interested in it!!! I found my passion, "My natural Hair". It is amazing what you can do when you are passionate about something, being in love and passionate with my hair makes me love it even when it is not perfect, I understood a long time ago that perfection is an aerial concept.
My hair is perfect to me even when it is not, because I am passionate about it:
  • I do not fight frizz.
  • I do not wish my hair looked like yours.
  • I really don't care about other's negative opinions about my hair.
  • I don't have BAD hair.
  • It is OK to be different; Blend in? For what?
This is my passion, what is yours? Yes, for some of you it can be quite a challenge to really find a passion, sometimes we have it right there and don't see it. Your "likes" and interests on Facebook really illustrate what your passionate about. Nissan believes so and has created a fun campaign for the 2014 Versa Note focused on discovering the passions that drive our lives. Here is the link to see how we’re all connected and to enter the Nissan Passion Genome #MyPassionPortrait Visit the page and find your passion, they also included incentives for participants " $1,000 Amazon Gift Card weekly !!

P!NK "The Truth About Love" tour experience / Mi experiencia en el concierto de P!NK

Years ago, back in Dominican Republic, when I used to dream and sing out loud to some of Pink’s songs, I never imagined that one day I would watch her at the Staples Center/LA Live with my 12 year old daughter.  I was just surreal! This was possible thanks to Covergirl that kindly invited me to enjoy an amazing performance, as it was a Cirque du Soleil act.
P!NK is risk-taking, fearless rocker and she embodies what it means to be a COVERGIRL through her edgy glamour and rock star confidence, and at this concert she proved that and a lot more.  After watching "The Truth ABout Love "I can say that she is a magnificent performer, this concert is a must see for sure, P!NK demonstrated that she can not only sing, but she has an amazing aerialist and acrobatic talents, delivering a grown-up and sophisticated show that all ages can enjoy.

P!NK was chatting, making jokes, relaxed and interacting with the audience between songs. The special effects, P!NK voice (singing upside down or spinning), the acoustic songs, the dancers and of course the acrobatics made this experience unforgettable.

Curls, Fashion and Horse Racing / Caballos, Rizos y Moda

Horse racing is one of those activities that I thought was not for me, not because I don't like horses -because I love them - but because I thought it was expensive and out of my budget. I got the change to attend Santa Anita Race Track  for a Media meet up last week and ohh boy-girl- I was amaze by the modern look of this facility and affordable prices.

I was chosen among other bloggers to the Top Blogueras Retreat to learn, share and connect. We got the chance to go to the UN, a lifetime experience for me, knowing I was in the same place where all the important decisions are made. At the Top Blogueras retreat, I reinforced my thoughts on how important our voices are and how to use social media wisely, not hating on each other but supporting each other "Social Good".

Magical Moments at DisneyLand California/ Momentos Magicos solo en Disneyland

Hello gorgeous, September is a tough month in my home: back to school expenses and two birthday celebrations, my little curly girl Liah's birthday is on the 12th and Dafne's the 23d. Last Saturday we went to celebrate Liah's at Disneyland, as she wanted, she is at that stage where princesses and fairy tale are all she likes, ahhh and Pink, of course.

I will share some of my pictures with you and some tips to take the most of your next visit to the park.

  • I had been to Disneyland park before, but I must say this is one of the best time of the year to go, because most kids are back to school, which means less time waiting in line to get on rides.

  • If you are going during summer months, make sure to protect your skin and your kids with sun block, you may want to bring a light sweater as well, California weather is kind of bipolar.
  • They let you bring into the park light food and water.
  • Get ready to pay parking and walk A LOT, so use comfortable shoes.
  • If you have the budget for it get a fast pass, it will save you time and make your visit more enjoyable.
  • Everything in the park is more expensive, for this reason I went to a Disney store a got the minnie ears at a half price.
  • The kids love autographs from their favorite characters, so I stopped at a $99 cent store and buy them a notebook and a pen.
  • Don't you dare to leave the park before the fireworks, I did on my last visit and this time I stayed till the end and the firework show is just amazing!!!

This is not a sponsor post, but I did received complementary tickets to visit the park, all opinions and photos are my own.

ufff The past few days were unbelievable and unforgettable, I was at BeautyCon LA Saturday, August 24, with an event at Youtube Space on Thursday the 22 and  The Platform VIP party Friday the 23. It was amazing to connect with so many talented bloggers and vloggers as well as fans and friends. I had my doubt if I would go or not, but thank God I did, because this was a truly well done and organized event. The founder +Marina Curry is the most talented and ground to earth person I have ever known.  The sponsors did a magnificent job, thanks for all the goodies and good retail prices, so the public can get their favorite items. Beautycon annual event gathered together stylists, celebrities, fans and beauty gurus in one place "Sirens Studios" at Hollywood and some fans waited in line for about 3 hours to get in, and guest what? It was worth it.

What did I wear? On day one I didn't take a picture, I was so scared for the one hour and 30 minute drive ahead of me, that I couldn't :)
1)blouse-Marshall,Old Navy shorts,Andrea shoes,watch t+j design,thrifted sunglasses.
2)blouse-target,leggings-burlington,shoes-davideal.com,necklace-Old Navy.

On my hair: I shampooed with curlsUnleashed shampoo, Deep conditioner (Hi*pro*pac intense protein treatment), Style ( dailycurlz oil mix, Beautiful texture leave-in conditioner and Camille Rose Moisture milk). At night I used the pineapple method and used the beautifultexture leave-in every day  to moisture my hair.

OH!! I do like to be by the sea / En el mar la vida es mas sabrosa "SeaWorld"

I think there is something magical being by the seaside, well, I am an island girl, so this is my ideal place for fun, peace, romance, family, friends, seaside has it all; but I never experienced before the perfect combo of a recreational park by the sea, a "Seaworld".

I was lucky enough to finally visit seaworld in San Diego with my family, and I hardy never say I wanna come back tomorrow to the same place, but this time bellas, this time I wanted to go back the next day. My opinions in this post may be influenced by the fact, that I feel more comfortable by the seaside or maybe it is just that I like it so much that you won't read a single bad comment about seaworld.

I loved everything about seaworld " everything" the shows are just amazing. I think circus soleil mixed with sea creatures, amazing funny performance, and the most beautiful sea animals.
There are several little interactive aquariums where you can interact and touch (not me of course, too chicken for that) with the manta rays,  and star fish among other sea animals.

what else do I like about seaworld? OMG I like everything: the rides are just perfect, not extreme, just right , huge area for the little ones, great for a hot summer day, music, dance, fireworks, foods and even adults drinks ( yessss)
I had a blast at Seaworld and I can't wait to be back.

What about you, have you ever been at Seaworld? share your experience with us.

This is not a sponsor post, but as a lucky curly girl I did get an invitation for me and my family to visit the park, all opinions and pictures are my own.

Curly Girl on the road: Legoland California / Rizos viajeros: Mi experiencia en Legoland California

Curly girls do have more fun, no questions asked; there is no better feeling in the world than being able to enjoy your kids without worrying about your hair. July 5th, me and my family went to Legoland California for a day full of fun. As many of you know, I moved my family from the Dominican Republic a few years ago, so basically any Californian experience is new for us and this time Legoland wasn't the exception.

LEGOLAND® California Resort is located just 30 minutes north of San Diego and one hour south of Anaheim. With more than 60 rides, shows and attractions it’s an interactive, hands-on theme park experience for families with children 2-12. The Resort is also home to SEA LIFE® Aquarium and the world’s first LEGOLAND Water Park.
My Thoughts about the park:
  • It is a beautiful theme park, if your kids are in that stage where they are crazy about legos, look no more.
  • The website said that it is a park from kids 2-12 but I think it is more focused form kids 2-7, all the rides and activities are really light and soft. In my opinion it is the best theme park for this age range.
  • The safety is amazing, even if you your child is tall enough to ride in an attraction, they ask for the kid's age.
  • Easy access to  wheel chairs on most of the rides; I found this feature really cute and amazing.
  • The food is not what you call good, but they are not that bad, prices go from $10.00 and up, Kids eat free at some restaurants after 5:00 pm
  • Bring extra clothes to the park for your kids, it has amazing water stations and even a water park that you can enjoy in the same day, so get there early.
  • Parking fee (Yes you can't get free parking in Cali) $15.00
  • This is a park made with kids in mind, I already told you that they take safety really seriously, well, you don't event find where to charge your phone that easy; But I did, hahhahhahhahah
  • Bring some cash, the park has face painting, snack and goodies that you and your kids won't resist.
  • If you're planning in visiting the park soon, stop by Wendy's restaurant and ask for a kids free coupon.
This is not a sponsor post, But I did receive complementary tickets to visit the park, all opinions, photos and stories are my own.

It's a Big Time Rush kind of day/ Mami y yo, vamonos de concierto

I am a member of the Collective Bias®  Social Fabric® Community.  This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias and their client. #KoolAidBTRtour #shop

Do you know what is more kool  than going to a summer band concert? ..Taking your daughter to her first concert. When I knew about this opportunity I was so excited, because I wanted to take my daughter to a concert for so long, but between moving expenses from Dominican Republic, paper work and relocating my whole family to a new country, a concert is definitely not in our budget.

It was a totally kool VIP experience which made my daughter's first concert even more magical, BIG TIME RUSH is a group of boys from the popular TV show with the same name. They prepared a sound check and behind the scene experience for all of us VIP holders, it was super cute, the boys answered some questions, played a few acoustic songs and all of us got to take a picture with them. you can see my whole concert experience in this Google + album.

Big Time Rush is on summer tour all over the US and you can experience this VIP moment too  just  by entering the Kool Aid and Big Time Rush contest, all you have to do is  upload a “Kool Creation” to the brand landing page click here  and be entered for a chance to win VIP tickets.  Also, you can purchase $6 of Kool Aid, scan their receipt into the Shoparoo app☟☟and receive a discount code for tickets.

My first concert experience / Concierto de Reyli en California

This is a sponsor post in collaboration with Unilever and Northgate market, and as always all pictures and opinions are my own.

When I was invited to participate in this campaign I was super excited for several reasons:
1.- This would be my first time at a concert in US
2.- I love Unilever products "Hello Suave Coconut Conditioner"
3.- Northgate is one of favorite markets.

First I called (more like a text) my Friend Eldia and asked her, what I should wear, specifically at The Honda Center, she told me a casual look, jeans, a pretty blouse, and wedges. And I am glad that I asked her because everybody was well dressed.
Me and my brother..
We arrived at the Honda Center with plenty of time, which gave me the opportunity to get all the goodies, free samples and photos, I didn't know the parking was $20 in cash, yes to much money plus 40 minutes driving with this crazy gas price, forget it. Luckily the concert was amazing and the Artist Reyli  sang like he always does, flawless.
Reyli on stage

Reyli
you may have missed this concert, but here is the information you need to keep track on great opportunities while shopping for groceries.
Tickets to the event couldn't be purchased. Believe it or not, this entire event is a result of Northgate's rewards program. Every time you made a purchase at Northgate, you gave the checker your cell phone number, and that keeps track of your rewards and points. They have a whole host of events coming up throughout the year, so this easy-to-use rewards program will just keep paying off!
