It doesn't matter if you are recently natural or being natural for a few years. We all have some natural hair phobias. You can tell I was in the goofy mood when I wrote this, lol
Frizzphobia: Fear to frizz. This evil fear attacks all of us, new natural, old natural. This is a terrible fear to those fly away little hair that no matter how hard we try to tame them, they are still up and frizzy.
CanItouchphobia: Fear to stranger touching your natural hair. This is the worst of all, when those random people stop you at the mall, the supermarket, the gym, anywhere and ask that simple question while approaching those hands near your big, curly hair : Can I touch it? ahhhhh spooky!!!
Bigchopphobia: Fear to the BIG Chop. This is the new natural phobia; I have been transitioning for 2 years but I am afraid of the big chop!!!!!!! I never had short hair before.- My boyfriend doesn't like short hair.- My mom said I will look like a boy .- What about my job?.- Will I look hot and sassy? are some of the symptoms of this sickness that can only be cured with a scissors.
StraightPhobia: Fear to hot tools. This fear affects those that love their curls so much and after reading all the blog posts in the web and watch all the youtube video about naturalistas that had their hair straightened and got that frightening heat damage, want to rock the straight look, but have that terrible phobia to straight hair and never got their curls back...
Notlikeyoursphobia: The most rare fear in medical history. Why is my hair not like that youtube Diva? I used the same products, *&^%%$ why doesn't my hair look like yours? is she mixed? Why is my hair not like yours?
Colorphobia: Fear to hair dye... she looks at all those beautiful blonde, hight light, ombre style, post it on Facebook and still can't do that big step, because she has a terrible phobia, what about if my curl pattern changes?.. sorry bellas, got too excited thinking about myself.
Trimphobia: A chronic fear to trim your hair. I want to retain my length; trim is evil, trim is the enemy, I did my big chop 2 years ago, I have some split ends, what can I do? I don't wanna trim my ends.. Case 4 of Trimphobia..
HairstylistPhobia: fear to hair stylist.. No body had ever touched my hair since I went natural, Only I know how to do my hair. I heard some hair stylists mixing conditioner with relaxer.. ahhhh
Bedphobia: fear to go to bed after doing your hair and got the perfect curl definition you have been looking for, for months. " I wish I could sleep in a massage chair"
Netxdayhairphobia: Fear of loosing your style the next day.. this is a medical condition derivated of the Bedphobia, only normal curlies suffer from it.
willitgrowphobia: fear to not grow hair. Natural, black hair doesn't grow. How am I going natural? will my hair grow?
Waterphobia: fear to water in hair. This disease affect most newly natural, they keep hearing their mom or grandma voice saying: "do not wet your hair, water is bad for your hair". This phobia is easily cured the first time you spray water on your hair and see those curls popping up..
