FROS ON THE FOURTH, 4th of July natural hair style../ Estilos afro del 4 de Julio

Hello bellas today is the 4th of July and after seeing this image of Fro on the fourth I wanted my afro out, I tried to pick my hair out several times in the past and every time the final result is completely different, that's the beauty of natural hair..

Here are some pictures of how my hair looked, this was so much fun. My hair was dry clean, 4days old and I just picked it out and applied some Cantu Hair Lotion for moisture.On my lips Maybelline Royal Red E190 and Milani Shadow Eyez 12 hr wear eyeshadow 05 Aquatic style, I added body glider.

My first (successful) natural Hair Cartoon ? Mi primera (exitosa) caricatura

I am very passionate about drawing in all it forms, I found it a very high form of art and since the first time I went Natural I wanted a drawing or a cartoon. I had a first attended to do a cartoon at a local art walk and after staying still for almost 10 min, that is a lot to me I can't be quiet for a minute, my cartoon looked nothing like me; he said it is very hard for me to draw curly hair, helloooo why you didn't say so at the beginning? 

So I was at Universal studio Hollywood and after a few thinking and talking to the guy I decided to do my cartoon, first of course I asked  him: Can you draw curly hair? he wasn't so sure about it, I guess he doesn't have to many big hair costumers, he said yes, with a doubly face, so I said: well if my hair doesn't look like "my hair" I won't pay...And this is how I got my first "successful" Cartoon...

Siempre me ha gustado y he admirado a los dibujantes y caricaturistas, creo que es una forma de arte muy bonita y desde que me soy Natural he querido en hacerme uno. tuve un primer intento en una exposición local de arte, y después de quedarme quieta por mas de diez minutos, tiempo que es demasiado para una persona como yo que no puede quedar quieta, el Artista termino el dibujo y no se parecía nada a mi, su argumento fue que ere difícil el dibujar el pelo rizo, en serio? y por que no me lo dijiste antes de?

En fin estaba en Los estudios Universal y después de pensarlo mucho, hablar y amenazar con no pagarle al artista sin mi cabello no se parecía a "mi cabello" me senté, me quede quieta (casi) y con un poco de duda comenzó mi caricatura.

Curly look of the day in Halloween mood/ El look del dia

In Dominican Republic we don't celebrate Halloween , so every year in October I feel like a little girl, I love Halloween, I feel like I am in some kind of surreal movie, lol. So I been wearing customs for 2 years now, and it is a lot fun because we do it as family, witch is a very good way to have fun and stay connected with your kids.(they think you are COOL, lol)
En República Dominicana no celebramos Halloween, por lo tanto era de esperarse que al llegar a Estado Unidos me sentía como una niña chiquita, me encanta Halloween, me hace sentir que estoy en una película subreal, jajjjajjaj. so me he estado disfrazando desde hace 2 años y es muy divertido porque en mi casa se involucra toda la familia , lo que es una bonita manera de divertirse y mantenerse conectado con tus hijos.

Hola hermosas, today is one of those days where creativity is not with me, I stand in front of the mirror and started to invent  until a curly muse enlighten me and I started thinking, why not make a series called "Curly look of the day" So we ca inspired one to another  in those days in which we don't know what to do with our hair, I'm going to start, but I would like you to also send yours  ideas, please write to dailycurlz@hotmail.com with one or more photos, your name, how  achieve that style, what products you used, etc. .. are you in?

For this look you need:

• Bobby pins
• Hair combs
• A water spray
• Leave-in or milk
• Soft  brush or a toothbrush.

What to do:
Spray your hair with water and apply a  leave-in or milk to moisturize your hair, then created in the front two twist, in this case I made ​​one larger than another, secure them in the middle of the head  with hair combs or bobby pins in a way they join together simulating a half pony tale. Applied more water until the curls are well moisturized, smooth the edges with a soft brush or a toothbrush.

Hola Hermosas,  Hoy es uno de esos días en el que la creatividad no me acompaña, me pare delante del espejo y me puse a inventar hasta que llegara la musa rizada y me iluminara y me puse a pensar, porque no hacer una serie llamada "look del dia" claro mi spanglish siempre sale, lol, y a si nos damos una idea mutuamente en esos días en el cual no sabemos que hacer con nuestro pelo, yo voy a comenzar, pero me gustaría que ustedes también mandaran sus ideas, solo tienen que escribirme a dailycurlz@hotmail.com con una  o varias fotos, tu nombre y como hiciste para lograr ese estilo, cuales productos utilizaste, etc.. te animas?

Que necesitas para este look:

• Pinchos
• Peinetas
• Un atomizador con agua
• Leave-in o leche
• un cepillo de cerdas suaves o un cepillo de dientes.

Que hacer:

Rocia tu pelo con agua y aplicate un poco de leave-in o leche en todo el pelo para humectarlo, luego crea en la parte del frente dos twist, en este caso yo hice  uno mas grande que otro, asegúralos en la mitad de la cabeza con pincho o peinetas de forma tal que se unan en una media cola (come y deja en DR). termina el estilo aplicado mas agua hasta que los rizos estén bien humectado, suavizas las orillas con un cepillo suave o un cepillo de dientes.
