Wonder Curl is the brainchild of Scarlett Rocourt, a Haitian born, Jersey Girl who graduated from Rutgers University with a Marketing degree. Her senior year of college began her journey with her hair after being inspired by an article in Essence Magazine about one woman’s experience growing out her perm.

After a couple of failed attempts at breaking free of chemicals and heat, she vowed to gain patience with herself and her hair and with that promise, has been free of any products or tools that may alter her curl pattern.



While living in Florida for a year, she began dreaming up products that would block humidity and give her and all other Curlies the option to be out in the heat without worrying if their hairstyles would be ruined by frizz.

in February 2010, Get Set Hair Jelly was introduced to the market and sold online through her website,www.wondercurl.com. As she worked with other Curlies with different textured hair, it became clear that GSHJ did as it claimed, defined curls and defended hair from outside’s elements. Get Set Hair Jelly smooths, soothes and controls frizz without stiffness.
